There are many ways to get involved as a mathematics educator in Colorado, including a listserv, several organizations for teachers and supervisors of mathematics, and events you can attend.


Colorado Organizations for Mathematics Educators

Colorado Council of Teachers of Mathematics

CCTM is an affiliate of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), the largest professional organization of mathematics teachers in the country. CCTM serves its membership by hosting a conferences and webinars, publishing a newsletter and a journal, and recognizing outstanding teachers and teacher leaders with annual awards.

Colorado Mathematics Leaders (CML)

CML is an affiliate of the NCSM and is comprised primarily of district mathematics leaders (math specialists, coordinators, coaches, TOSAs, department chairs, consultants, etc.) from across the state of Colorado. They meet monthly throughout the school year to share questions, resources, and support. Colorado Metro Math Intervention Team (CoMMIT)

CoMMIT is (or was) a group of leaders in math and special education who collaborate to help solve the challenges we share in working to serve the needs of all learners in math education, especially those who struggle most. CoMMIT has not met since 2018. More resources and contact information can be found on the CoMMIT website.
