Post Secondary Options

In May 2009, the Colorado State Legislature passed the Concurrent Enrollment Programs Act. The act created the concurrent enrollment program, defined as the simultaneous enrollment of a qualified student in a local education provider and in one or more postsecondary courses, including academic or career and technical education courses, at an institution of higher education.

Data and information on Concurrent Enrollment Programs can be found on CDE’s Concurrent Enrollment webpage, including annual legislative reports.

The Post Secondary Options program was phased out with the introduction of Concurrent Enrollment, and is therefore no longer in use in districts as of the 2011/12 school year.

The 2011-2012 School Year is the last year the Post Secondary Enrollment Options was collected.
