National Board Certification

Program Unfunded for 2020-21 and 2021-22 Years - Stipends for Nationally Certified School Professionals

Application closed.

Important note: With the emergence of COVID-19 came myriad challenges, including those that directly tap the state's fiscal resources. As a result, due to deficits stemming from the pandemic, all state agencies' budgets have been tightened, and many, many worthy grant and other award programs--national board stipends among them--were not funded by the Colorado State Legislature for the 2020-21 or the 2021-22 academic year. As such, this application process will not be made available until funding is reinstated.

The last stipend awards were distributed to districts, BOCES and charter schools for distribution to those individuals who submitted a request in December 2019 and who qualified for an award. Please note that stipends are subject to regular payroll withholdings. (Please consult the 2019-2020 Stipend Distribution Process fact sheet.)
