Navigating New Arrivals: Securing Support Systems

Do you support newly arrived students and families? Has your language program served newly arrived student previously and now you’re noticing gaps in the systems and supports? Would you like a community of asset-based educators to collaborate with and share success stories? This cohort was created to respond to the needs of districts and schools to support student populations with multi-faceted needs.

Navigating New Arrivals: Securing Support Systems is a cohort for sharing experiences, resources, and a space for sharing real-world challenges and solutions. In six sessions, we will explore topics from enrollment and identification all the way to graduation and will remain flexible to the needs of the participants. Come join a community to support student success today!

Participants

School and district leaders. Cohort participation is encouraged for teams looking to incorporate best practices for new arrivals. Examples of ideal cohort participants include ELA and Math Directors, Post-Secondary Directors, Principals, Network Superintendents, and CLDE Directors.
