			News Release - Free science training for Colorado K-12 teachers
			 The Colorado Department of Education is collaborating with InquiryHub to provide K-12 science teachers with professional learning aligned to the Colorado State Academic standards for science. The department will provide more than seven Science at its Peak learning opportunities at locations across the state and online through the fall.

			News Release - CDE Opens Applications for Up to $10,000 in Financial Support for Aspiring Educators
			 The Colorado Department of Education will begin accepting applications today for the 2025-26 Educator Recruitment and Retention (ERR) program, which offers up to $10,000 in financial assistance to help aspiring educators cover the cost of educator preparation program fees.

			News Release - Colorado Department of Education Releases Free and Reduced-Price School Meal Policy for 2025-26 School Year
			 The Colorado Department of Education today released its 2025-26 school year policy that determines student eligibility for free and reduced-price school meals provided through the National School Lunch Program, School Breakfast Program, and/or the Special Milk Program.

			News Release -- Colorado State Board of Education approves 14 Building Excellent Schools Today grant projects 
			 During its June meeting - hosted at  Morgan County School District Re-3’s district office building - the Colorado State Board of Education approved $179 million in Building Excellent Schools Today (BEST) grants to help fund 14 construction projects in 12 Colorado school districts and two charter schools.

			News Release - Colorado Department of Education releases preliminary state-level results from 2025 state assessments
			 The Colorado Department of Education today released preliminary results from the Colorado Measures of Academic Success (CMAS), PSAT and SAT assessments administered this spring to Colorado public school students in grades three through 11. 
Families can now access their students’ CMAS scores directly through the Family Score Report Portal.

			News Release -- Colorado Department of Education announces 22 semifinalists for 2026 Colorado Teacher of the Year
			 Today, the Colorado Department of Education announced its semifinalists for 2026 Colorado Teacher of the Year. The department’s 22 semifinalists represent 22 schools from 17 districts and two charters. This group of semifinalists is the department’s most geographically diverse to date with at least two candidates from every region in Colorado.

			News Release - Free summer meals available for all Colorado youth ages 18 and younger 
			 The Colorado Department of Education today announced that 643 summer meal sites are open statewide to provide meals free of charge to all youth ages 18 and younger. Parents, families, and community members can visit www.kidsfoodfinder.org to find a nearby meal site.

			News Release -- CDE invites school and district leaders to join 2025-26 learning cohorts
			 The Colorado Department of Education today announced the launch of registration for its 2025-26 school year professional learning cohorts. These year-long learning cohorts provide opportunities for district leaders, school leaders, and educators from across the state to learn about and share best practices in improving student outcomes on such subjects as chronic absenteeism, helping connect rural leadership and special education support.
