Safe Schools Reopening Grant (SSRG) Application

In partnership with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) is pleased to announce a one-time $15 million grant funding opportunity for school districts, charter schools, and BOCES that are struggling to return to in-person learning and need additional resources to safely reopen when possible.

To be eligible to receive an award from the Safe Schools Reopening Grant, school districts, charter schools, and BOCES must demonstrate that they have struggled to reopen for in-person learning during the fall and have a plan to spend down all of their previously awarded Coronavirus Relief Fund (CRF) grant awards by Dec. 30, 2020. Applicants will also need to be able to expend the Safe Schools Reopening Funds by Dec. 30, 2020.
