Postsecondary Advising Support Requests Due

Enacted by SB23-205, the Universal High School Scholarship Program, renamed Opportunity Next Colorado, aims to increase enrollment in Colorado-based postsecondary education and training programs among the Colorado Class of 2024, prioritizing learners who pursue high-priority pathways in the areas of advanced manufacturing, computer & information science, construction, education, engineering & technology, family & social sciences, health professions and transportation. Opportunity Next Scholarships will be administered by postsecondary education and training providers directly to eligible students.

In addition to providing scholarships, Opportunity Next will offer FAFSA and college application guidance, as well as group coaching to prevent summer melt, a phenomenon that reduces enrollment by up to 40% in Colorado institutions.
