CoMath Update for January 7, 2021

It's 2021 -- as if you needed my reminder! Thanks again to everyone who participated in the lively grading conversation this week. There is other math news worth sharing, so keep reading for the latest and reach out to me if you have any questions.

CCTM Taking Action Book Study

January's CCTM book study brings us to a session about posing purposeful questions. As usual, there are three opportunities to join in the conversation: Saturday morning (1/9), Tuesday afternoon (1/12), or Thursday evening (1/14). If you don't have the book, that's fine, although it's always most effective for those who've done the reading first. And if you haven't attended a previous meeting, that's fine, too. You can learn more about the Taking Action book study and register for a session at https://www.cctmath.org/taking-action.

Colorado Math Leaders

The next meeting of the Colorado Math Leaders is next Tuesday, January 12, from 10:00 to 12:00 at https://zoom.us/j/7205203698. You can join the CML mailing list at https://groups.io/g/comathleaders and an agenda for next week's meeting should be posted soon.

NCTM 2021 Virtual Conference

NCTM is holding the 2021 Virtual Conference on February 1-6, 2021. I attended the first one and was quite impressed at the program NCTM assembled as well as the platform they used to host it, so if you missed the 2020 conference you might want to register for the 2021 conference.
