In response to feedback from the field, CDE made the decision to non-renew the contract with AnLar for the Ascend IEP system. To that end, Ascend will no longer be available as of July 1, 2022. Starting in the 2022-2023 school year, CDE will flow through IDEA dollars that would have been expended on the state sponsored IEP system to AUs.  These funds may be used on any IDEA allowable activities, including the purchase of an electronic IEP system.  However, please note that there is no requirement that these funds be used by an AU to purchase an electronic IEP system.  The CDE will continue to contract with AnLar for the DMS.

The Indicator 14 data collection window will begin prior to June 1, 2022. Users will see a new AnLar DMS link on CDE webpages. Only use this link for completing submissions for Indicator 14, SY 2021-22. Gail Lott has already conducted training with AU staff for Indicator 14.  These trainings included timelines and expectations.  These training were well attended with over 108 district level staff attending the online training. 

The Indicator 14 window opens on June 1, 2022 and closes September 30, 2022.

  • If you are currently registered for the Frontline DMS, your username and password should grant you access to the new AnLar DMS webpage.
  • If you are a current user, need access for Indicator 14, and your username and password do not work, please contact Melissa Chaffin at chaffin_m@cde.state.co.us immediately.
  • If you are a new user and need access for Indicator 14, please contact your local AU’s LAM for access.

As a reminder, functionality the new AnLar DMS will be limited to Indicator 14 data submission until July 1, 2022.
